Geocenter Denmark – Partners
Geocenter Denmark represents the following four independent institutions, which have committed themselves to mutual cooperation:
- The Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS), a research and advisory institute under the Danish Ministry of the Environment.
- Department of Geography and Geology, University of Copenhagen under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.
- Department of Earth Sciences, University of Aarhus under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.
- The Geological Museum, University of Copenhagen under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.
Geocenter Denmark has a combined staff of about 550 employees, and a total of 1000 graduate students and 75–100 post-graduate students.
The Danish Lithosphere Centre (DLC) was earlier a part of Geocenter Denmark. The funding to DLC from The Danish National Research Foundation expired at the end of 2004 after 10 years of support.
| Geocenter Denmark – Management
The Board of Management of Geocenter Denmark is responsible for preparation and coordination of common strategies and launching and supporting joint projects within the framework of Geocenter Denmark's statutes
.
The Board of Management consists of five members and one advisers
- Head of department of Geography and Geology.
- Deputy Head of department of Geography and Geology, Research.
- Two members of the GEUS Board of Management.
- One member appointed by the Ministry of Research and Information Technology.
- Advisers: The Director of the Geological Museum.
